Gold and silver prices were trading higher in morning deals on Thursday following some demand of the precious metal from retailers, industries, investors and jewelers. MCX Gold was trading 0.15 per cent up at Rs 30,639 per 10 gram at, while MCX Silver was up 0.38 per cent at Rs 38,010 per 1 kg at around the same time.
Today investors will focus on the outcome of US GDP and initial jobless claim data later today. Gold can take support near Rs 30,500 and can face resistance near Rs 30,700 in MCX.
